Position Overview: As a Patient Coordinator, you will be the linchpin of our office operations, ensuring that each patient’s visit is smooth, enjoyable, and professionally handled. You will manage a variety of administrative tasks, coordinate patient flow, and provide exceptional customer service to enhance our patients' overall experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, handle check-ins and check-outs, and address any questions or concerns they may have with professionalism and empathy.
- Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage appointment calendars, and coordinate with optometrists to optimize patient flow.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate patient records, handle billing and insurance claims, and ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient needs, managing any issues that arise, and ensuring a positive and efficient experience for all patients.
- Office Efficiency: Collaborate with team members to streamline office operations, maintain a well-organized workspace, and ensure the office environment is welcoming and professional.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical or optometric office is required. Experience with patient scheduling, insurance processing, and administrative tasks is a plus.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with patients, team members, and external contacts.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Comfort with using various office equipment and technology.
- Personal Traits: Energetic, motivated, and dedicated to providing top-notch service. Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
