We are working with a commodity trading house that is looking to hire a Global Inventory Manager to join the team in Florida.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- As the head of the department, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inventory management function across the global stockpiles
- Take a strategic approach to implement standardized processes, robust controls, and enhance operational and logistics efficiency on a global scale
- Focus on final mile supply chain and logistics, managing trucking and transportation agreements to ensure they align with operations and budget.
- Implement inventory controls that guarantee accurate and timely customer invoicing, as well as timely payment processing to vendors
- Drive digital transformation within the inventory management function, implementing tech for real-time data integration and process automation
- Role reports to VP Operations & Logistics
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 10 years’ experience in inventory management and supply chain within a commodity, global logistics or distribution environment
- Prior experience managing and leading a team with the ability to develop and implement strategy on a global scale
- Expertise managing transportation and service provider agreements and evaluating strategic locations for terminals/warehousing
- Knowledge of modern inventory management technology and practices
- Located in Palm Beach Country Florida area, or happy to relocate
