What will I do as an employee with Redstone?
As a Volunteer Coordinator and Recruiter, supporting the Redstone mission will include the following responsibilities :
Recruitment : Through an emphasis on recruitment, this role achieves established benchmarks for volunteer hours needed to support Redstone's mission, including meeting the annual percentage volunteer hours required for the provision of hospice care and services.
Participates in recruitment events in the community representing Redstone. Develops recruitment materials and social media content for volunteer recruitment purposes.
Compliance : Ensures compliance with regulations related to volunteerism through a defined application process, background checks, orientation, annual education, annual evaluation, and record keeping on all volunteers;
including vaccination records and hours worked.
Engagement : Works with the Hospice team and Redstone colleagues to determine potential roles for volunteers, create job descriptions, assign volunteers to appropriate positions.
Provides support to volunteers as needed. Coordinates appreciation programs to support volunteers across the organization.
Analysis : Maintains volunteer statistics and provides data as needed and requested.
What do I need for this role with Redstone?
- Bachelor's degree in human services, human resources, or related field.
- Two years experience working in a health care setting.
- Experience with Better Impact, a Volunteer Management tool (preferred).
