Summary
The Associate Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and analysis of spacecraft mechanical systems and components. This includes working with engineers and technicians to ensure that all components are properly fabricated and tested to meet project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and analysis of spacecraft components
- Conduct testing and analysis to ensure product performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept to completion
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the product development process
- Provide configuration management support
Ideal Experience
- 0 - 2 years of experience as a mechanical engineer
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Some limited travel may be required

- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay range
$80,000 - $90,000/yr.

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
