What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alarm Service Technician position at Redwire?
This position services, repairs and installs CCTV, access, fire, and security systems for municipal, residential, and commercial customer accounts.
Position Responsibilities:
• Service, repair and install all systems based on customers’ orders.
• Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
• Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
• Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
• Complete and submit all service call related documents.
• Keep an orderly vehicle and accurate inventory stock levels.
• Various projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in low voltage wiring required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with the installation of CCTV, access control, intrusion, and fire systems, including integrated applications is strongly preferred
• Current BASA/FASA certification is preferred
• IT and networking experience is preferred
• High School diploma or GED is strongly preferred
• Must have flexibility to travel as needed

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
• Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Telecommunications - Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
• Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.
• Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing that there is a problem.
• An acceptable driving and criminal history record.
