About the Role
The Solar Array Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing deployable solar arrays for space applications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, experience with design software, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop deployable solar arrays for space applications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to develop and validate electrical interconnect processes.
- Work closely with systems engineering to develop electrical de-rating and EEE parts lists.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
- 8 years of relevant experience in design, manufacture, and verification of electromechanical systems, photovoltaics, and composite structures.
- Experience with SolidWorks CAD software and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
