Position: Fire Alarm Field Service Technician – Lead, Mentor, and Innovate

We are looking for a highly skilled Fire Alarm Field Service Technician who thrives on solving complex challenges, has strong programming expertise, and is passionate about leading and mentoring junior technicians. What You’ll Do:

  • Program various systems and ensure accurate functionality during initial acceptance testing
  • Perform Preventative maintenance inspections and provide plans & recommendations
  • Diagnose & troubleshoot issues to keep clients safe and compliant
  • Provide technical support to customers and junior team members
  • Light installation work as needed
  • Review and submit critical documentation to ensure compliance
  • Be a key player in a growing company, driving positive change

While responsibilities will vary, there may be times when one aspect of the role takes precedence over others.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7 years of hands-on experience in fire alarm installation and programming
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and in-depth Life Safety knowledge
  • Excellent communication – ability to work with customers, technicians, and office staff professionally
  • Proven leadership & mentoring abilities – we want someone who enjoys teaching and guiding junior technicians
  • Self-motivated & adaptable – ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Attention to detail & problem-solving mindset
  • Valid California Driver’s License (clean record required)
  • NICET Level II (or higher) certification
  • Ability to read and interpret job-site drawings
  • Must live within 50 miles of Redwood City

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience with Potter, Siemens, Simplex Firelite, EST, Silent Knight, Notifier, Honeywell, DMP, Radionics
  • Passion for implementing changes & improvements in a growing company
  • A track record of delivering exceptional customer service (including handling tough situations with professionalism

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
