Salary: $24.15-$29.40 per hour (DOE) / Additional Differentials Must Qualify

Pay Differentials Offered (must qualify through testing or verification):
- Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish: $1.00 per hour
- Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language: $1.00 per hour
- Bimodal Multilingualism - ASL Sign Language: $2.00 per hour
Overview:
Under general supervision assists in providing rehabilitative, restorative treatment services, crisis intervention, therapeutic intervention, assessment evaluation, and moderately complex, professional-level case management, including visiting with clients in residential or other settings, making referrals and counseling with clients on various issues, one-on-one behavioral support by performing the following duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates activities that address the purpose of the Rehabilitative group and individual client plan.
- Follows the State Mental Health and County Mental Health guidelines for any service being provided.
- Provide authorized services only, unless directed by the Clinical Director to provide additional unauthorized serviced
- Converses with clients to reinforce positive behaviors and to promote social interaction.
- Serves meals and eats with clients to act as a role model as it may apply to rehabilitative or behavior plans.
- Accompanies clients on shopping trips and instructs and counsels clients in the purchase of personal items as it may apply to rehabilitative or behavior plans.
- Leads therapeutic activities, such as physical exercises, occupational arts and crafts, and recreational games, with clients.
Classifications and Qualifications for CM/MHRS
- CM III: An individual who has at least four (4) years of full-time/equivalent (FTE) experience in a mental health-related field proving direct mental health services. Up to two (2) years of the four (4) years of experience can be substituted by years of education in a mental health-related field. There is a minimum requirement of two (2) years of actual work experience.*
- *The education requirement for a CM III - must be a minimum of two (2) years of education (60 semester or 90 quarter units) with a minimum of 12 semesters (18 quarter) units in a mental health-related subject area such as child development, social work, human behavior, rehabilitation, psychology, or alcohol and drug counseling.
- MHRS I: Associate degree 6 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting
- MHRS I: Bachelor's degree 4 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting
- MHRS III: Master's degree 2 years working with at-risk clients in a mental health setting.
Conditions of Employment:
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points).
- Must pass a clear background check with DOJ, FBI & CCL.
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
- TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.
Driving Requirement:
This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for business purposes and on-call rotation.
Other Requirements:
- Driving is a required function of this position. Employees must use a personal vehicle that meet all agency requirements, including maintaining liability insurance that meets or exceeds state requirements.
- Employees are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their vehicle insurance policies and providing updated documentation to the agency to remain in good standing and compliant with position requirements.
Training:
- RCS provides an in-depth onboarding and training orientation, which includes CPR/First Aid, Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Collaborative Problem Solving, introductions to all RCS departments, and other valuable trainings.
