Pay Differentials Offered (must qualify through testing or verification):
- Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish: $1.00 per hour
- Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language: $1.00 per hour
- Bimodal Multilingualism - ASL Sign Language: $2.00 per hour
Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager/Director, the Clinical Supervisor plans, directs, coordinates, and participates in supervision and activities of the Behavioral Health Services and Wraparound Programs by implementing the program’s mission and utilizing policies and procedures created for its success. The right candidate is capable of performing all the functions a clinician typically does for a given service and functions in a supervisory administrative and/or program management capacity within the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the agency training department on evidence-based practices and clinical software platforms – Provides instruction for both newly hired clinical staff, staff being cross-trained, and sustainment training for existing staff.
- Following State, County and Agency processes: Interviews individuals of all ages, including children and older adults in order to identify medical necessity, presenting problems, personal & family history as it relates to the individual’s mental health.
- Documents client’s mental status, determine a diagnosis as appropriate and develops a client treatment plan by performing the following duties.
- Demonstrates organizational and professional capability for the activities that are required to complete the Intake / Assessment processes in a timely manner. These activities include: the ability to fill out completely and correctly all necessary required forms for documentation of the Medical Necessity, Mental Status Exam, Biopsychosocial Assessment, Diagnosis / Evaluation, Client Treatment Plan and Treatment Authorization Request.
- Conducts individual and group psychotherapy with clients using appropriate evidence-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed approaches. Works with client’s entire treatment team to coordinate the client’s care. Engages the client by identifying goals that are readily understandable to the client and the client is motivated to meet. Monitors client progress and adjusts treatment approach based on outcome measures.
Education and/or Experience
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Psychology or related field; and,
- Two years of progressively responsible experience; or,
- A combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Required: BBS Licensed with 2 years experience post licensure.
- Experience will be considered in place of some educational requirements: Up to (2) two years of verified job-related experience can be provided by the applicant, that shows necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities (“KSA”) to be able to perform the functions of the advertised position proficiently.
- Must have 2 years management or supervisory experience and have 2 years working in a mental health setting. Applicant must provide written verification of ALL relevant job related experience for consideration upon competition of agency application and prior to first interview.
Conditions of Employment:
- May work across all agency programs as needed.
- Occasional flexible work schedule required to meet individual client needs.
- Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points).
- Must pass a clear background check with DOJ, CACI, FBI, CCL.
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
- TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.
