Summer Camp Counselors

Position Summary :
We are seeking dynamic, energetic, playful, and responsible Camp Counselors to cultivate and develop the inquisitive minds of a diverse group of campers. Join our dedicated team in providing a fun, innovative, quality summer camp program where children build their confidence through creative projects, physical activities, and free play. Camp Counselors should be committed to working in a multicultural environment and demonstrate flexibility, a positive attitude, and a professional demeanor. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children in a school or camp setting, an understanding of the social and emotional needs of school-aged youth (4 -14 years old), strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work well on a team.
Essential Job Functions :
- Supervise, interact with and engage campers in a fun and safe manner
- Enforce camp rules to maintain a positive and respectful environment
- Plan, develop, and facilitate creative projects and outdoor activities
- Collaborate with other Summer Camp staff to ensure daily camp operations
- Set up and clean up camp areas
- Perform basic first aid for campers as needed
- Communicate camp needs and issues to the Director
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Requirements :
Schedule and Hours :
Redwood Day's Summer camp will run from June 23 - August 14, 2025, with training the week of June 17th. The workday is Monday through Friday from 8 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM. Scheduling is done by week, based on employee availability and program need.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range the school reasonably expects to pay candidates for the position of Summer Camp Counselor Is $22 - $28 / hour (USD), depending on experience.
