Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator who is passionate about the work of the Discovery Museum. This role is essential in supporting our marketing initiatives and drive traffic to the museum and our website. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity and analytical skills, with a strong foundation in marketing principles. This position, along with all other positions, is blended with the duties of Guest Specialist.
Marketing Duties
- Develop and implement marketing strategies that align with company goals.
- Create compelling copy for various platforms, including websites, emails, and print advertising.
- Manage the museum's social media presence by creating and posting engaging content daily.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize future marketing efforts.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Assist in budgeting for marketing projects and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Coordinate email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation and performance tracking.
- Support product management by providing insights from market research and customer feedback.
Guest Specialist Duties
- Greet customers, explain museum policies, guide and inform their experience
- Complete sales transactions ,answer and direct phone calls, and file associated paperwork
- Maintain the museum’s safety and sanitation standards by adhering to the posted cleaning schedule.
- Inform Museum guests and the public about current programs, events, and museum memberships.
- Book birthday parties, field trips, and update memberships
- Meaningfully interact with children to introduce exhibit concepts.
Experience
- Proven experience in copywriting, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and analytics tools.
- Experience in email marketing strategies and execution.
- Strong understanding of childhood development
- Knowledge of budgeting principles related to marketing initiatives.
- Ability to conduct thorough research to inform marketing strategies.
- Experience in print advertising is desirable but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
