About the Role
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in assisting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives. This involves providing complete care for dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs, as well as redirecting behaviors through various activities such as walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.
This position requires a high level of compassion, patience, and understanding, as well as the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are also essential requirements for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with bathroom needs, change undergarments and/or clothing if necessary, and prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
- Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
