About the Role:
This is a part-time position that involves working as a direct support professional to assist adults with daily living tasks. Responsibilities include helping with dietary needs, hygiene, grooming, and dressing. You'll also engage clients through activities like walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.
- Plan and implement daily routines for clients based on their individual program plans.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including changing undergarments and clothing.
- Prepare meals and help with cleaning up afterwards.
- Provide transportation to clients as needed.
Requirements:
We're looking for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certification, and DSP 1 training. Prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses is highly valued. A valid driver's license, good driving record, and current vehicle registration are also required.
You should be able to lift 50 pounds and work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
