About the Job:
This part-time position involves working as an assistant to adults with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include caring for their dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs. You'll also help redirect behaviors through activities such as walking, reading, games, math, and computer projects.
- Develop and implement daily plans for clients based on their individualized care requirements.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing.
- Prepare meals and assist with cleaning up afterwards.
- Transport clients between locations as needed.
Qualifications:
We're seeking candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certification, and DSP 1 training. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses is highly valued. A valid driver's license, good driving record, and current vehicle registration are also required.
Able to lift 50 pounds and work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
