Redwood Materials is looking for a Manual Machinist
Responsibilities will include:
- Machine tooling selection, installation, setup, and maintenance
- Experience with large, heavy parts and rigging safety
- Knowledge of best practices for machining high nickel alloys (ex. Inconel, 310SS)
- Support urgent engineering machining needs
- Training technicians on basic safety and operating standards
- Fabricating custom tooling and fixtures
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a background in manual machining on both lathes and vertical mills
- Hands-on and detailed oriented approach to problem solving
- Metal fabrication and machine shop experience
- Proficient at reading prints in metric and imperial units
- Experience in a startup or prototyping environment
- Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and shop floor environments.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Shop working environment, frequent time spent outdoors handling raw materials, and staging finished products for shipment
- Exposures encountered, loud noise, and hot/cold.
- Standing while operating machines for long periods of time
