Job Skills / Requirements
Description of Duties
- Supervise a team of 5 - 10 security officers assigned to a shift.
- Coordinate security operations with on-site management as needed.
- May be responsible for conducting walking patrols of the buildings/ facility (or assigned areas within or outside the buildings/ facility).
- Responsible for identifying and reporting security threats, unsafe conditions or hazards, and/or other emergency situations.
- Write detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports during shift, including notation of any unusual activities and how issues were resolved. Responsible for contacting appropriate individuals (Site Supervision, Field Management, etc.) as directed by site post orders or as needed during shift.
- Responsible for knowing all site-specific policies and procedures, and implementing emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Responsible for following all company procedures, maintaining acceptable attendance, and adhering to all grooming and customer service standards.
- Respond to any incidents that occur during shift, in conformity with the Post Orders and the company’s Use of Force Policy, ensuring appropriate action is taken, all reports are properly completed, and appropriate parties are notified in a timely manner.
- Conduct security, customer service, or support function(s) as directed by management or in support of client request(s).
- Coach and counsel all security officers to ensure compliance with company and client policies/ procedures.
Qualification Requirements
- Prior military, law enforcement, or experience in an entertainment venue setting is highly desirable.
- Must be at least 21 years old. High School graduate or GED required.
- Possess and maintain a valid California Guard Registration (guard card).
- Have AT LEAST 2 years of experience as a security supervisor, security manager, or equivalent experience.
- Have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Fluent in English (fluency in other languages in addition to English a plus)
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation.
- Ability to read, write, understand and execute written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively to management and subordinate security officers, willingness to learn, and willingness to work as a team leader.
- Ability to walk and/or stand in one location for extended periods of time and or complete foot patrols as required.
- Ability to respond to emergency or incidents and work cooperatively with law enforcement and emergency services personnel.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and take initiative in completing assigned tasks.
