Position Summary
The Capital Markets Analyst has a high level of interaction with internal parties (trading, sales, legal and compliance, structured finance) and external parties.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Accept rate lock requests, reviewing each request and communicating confirmation
- Assist clients in the automated registration and lock process via seller portal
- Research pricing requests and update system with and required pricing changes
- Respond and adhere to the established lock policy
- Assist Capital Markets with regular updates to pricing engines
- Monitor and report on locked pipeline activity, and additional adhoc reporting
- Communicate regularly with external parties while providing exceptional customer service.
- Assist with loan data uploads and updates
- Mortgage Industry Knowledge: to include a general knowledge of mortgage banking and seller dynamics as it applies to Redwood Trust
- Teamwork – Interactions with all functions within the company, cross team collaboration
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate or similar
- Technologically savvy, with the ability to work in varied systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, with ability to learn multiple industry related systems
- High attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
- Excellent client service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking ability, diplomacy and professionalism
A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this role is $70K - 80K annually. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
