Human Resources (HR) / Payroll Assistant
Redwoods Rural Health Center is seeking a dedicated Human Resources (HR) / Payroll Assistant to support the daily operations of our HR department. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with onboarding and orientation, processing background checks, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The HR/Payroll Assistant will also provide clerical support, track employee training, and act as a liaison between employees and external benefits providers. Confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential in this role to maintain the integrity of human resource files and records.
Additionally, the HR/Payroll Assistant will assist with payroll functions, including reviewing payroll data, processing bi-weekly payroll transfers, and ensuring accurate reporting of employee compensation and deductions. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in payroll and human resource management, a strong understanding of employment laws, and a commitment to supporting a positive workplace culture.
RRHC is an EOE and offers a 4-day work week, and competitive compensation. Health benefits, paid time off and retirement match available for full and part-time employees working over 24 hours per week. Salary range starts at $21 - $29 per hour depending on skills.
