Automation Technician (Barbaric Machine)

REEB Millwork is currently looking for an Automation Technician (Barbaric Technical Specialist) to join our VALUES based organization. Key Responsibilities:

• System Configuration:
• • Configure automated door retrieval systems according to specifications.
  • Ensure proper integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
• • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on automated door retrieval systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software components.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
  • Communicate with vendor in Austria and off-site tech for troubleshooting.
• Technical Support:
• • Provide technical support to internal teams and clients, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff and clients on the operation and maintenance of Barbaric.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
• System Optimization:
• • Analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to design and test new features or upgrades.
• Safety and Compliance:
• • Ensure all systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• Project Management:
• • Manage installation and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts and services.

Required Credentials:

• Education:
• • Associate’s degree (or higher) in Engineering (Mechatronics), Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
• Experience:
• • Proven experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining automated systems, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with automated retrieval systems is highly desirable.
• Skills and Competencies:
• • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing both hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and technical documentation.
