What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Technician (Barbaric Machine) position at REEB Millwork?
REEB Millwork is currently looking for an Automation Technician (Barbaric Technical Specialist) to join our VALUES based organization. Key Responsibilities:
- System Configuration:
- Configure automated door retrieval systems according to specifications.
- Ensure proper integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on automated door retrieval systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software components.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Communicate with vendor in Austria and off-site tech for troubleshooting.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to internal teams and clients, resolving issues efficiently.
- Conduct training sessions for staff and clients on the operation and maintenance of Barbaric.
- Develop and update technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
- System Optimization:
- Analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to design and test new features or upgrades.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all systems comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
- Project Management:
- Manage installation and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for parts and services.
Required Credentials:
- Education:
- Associate’s degree (or higher) in Engineering (Mechatronics), Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining automated systems, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with automated retrieval systems is highly desirable.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing both hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications and technical documentation.
