GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The Reece and Avonley Homes Purchasing Manager is a full-time employment position that oversees the Purchasing Team. The Purchasing Team is responsible for the acquisition, estimation, and budgeting of goods and services needed to fulfill the requirements of new home construction, while meeting the expectations of customers and trade partners. Purchasing develops detailed scopes of work and budgets for each job. The Purchasing Manager plays an integral role in ensuring that Reece Homes develops a solid reputation for selling the highest quality homes and having excellent customer service. This position will continue to evolve to best accommodate the growing need of the Company.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Including but not limited to:

  • Manage the Purchasing and Estimating Departments for Reece and Avonley Homes.
  • Negotiate with trade partners to maintain the ideal balance between delivery, quality products/labor, and cost.
  • Creatively source new products to help lower cost and improve quality/aesthetic appeal of our houses.
  • Develop detailed estimates for new custom residential construction jobs.
  • Maintain and update estimates for existing production plans.
  • Manage contracts for all trades and subcontractors.
  • Communicate effectively with the Construction Team to ensure quality products and labor as well as timely delivery with the most economical cost.
  • Create and manage Purchase Orders.
  • Conduct and oversee field audits to ensure work performed meets contractual specifications.
  • Strive to complete projects below assigned budget and continuously seek ways to reduce construction cost and streamline processes.
  • Anything else necessary to help the company meet its goals. Being a rapidly growing and dynamic company, Reece Homes employees can expect to wear many hats and go beyond their traditional duties when necessary.

PREFERRED SKILLS

· Experience working with Hyphen Solutions.

· Minimum 3 years of Purchasing experience in the new home construction industry.

· Proficient office skills including the utilization of Microsoft Office programs & DocuSign and the ability to learn construction specific organizational software quickly.

· Proficient knowledge of the home buying process in relation to, but not limited to contracts and interactions with Vendors, Suppliers, & Sub Contractors.

· Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform & prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with great attention to detail.

· Ability to learn new skills quickly, a desire to develop and refine skills, and adaptable when change is needed.

· Self-motivated and willing to take the initiative when a need arises.

· Proficient office skills including the utilization of Microsoft Office programs & DocuSign and the ability to learn construction specific organizational software quickly.

COMPENSATION

Reece Homes agrees to pay a full-time Purchasing Manager an agreed upon salary based on experience. Expected hours are 40 per week. Compensation details to be discussed at the time of interview.

In addition to the payment offered above, Reece Homes offers full-time Purchasing Manager, Paid Time Off, Company 401K, health insurance, mileage reimbursement, and cellular phone credit. Details upon request.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
