Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy, and experienced Equipment Rental Manager to join our team. This key position requires someone who excels in integrity, leadership, and organizational skills. The Equipment Rental Manager will oversee a small team, manage the repair and maintenance of equipment, ensure optimal rental scheduling, and handle various operational responsibilities. This role is critical to the day-to-day success of our business, and we are looking for someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the rental of equipment to ensure maximum utilization, ensuring that no equipment sits unrented except for routine maintenance and repairs.
- Organize delivery of equipment to and from the job site with or without teammates, including occasional personal delivery alone.
- Manage a small team of employees, providing guidance, scheduling, and oversight to ensure efficient operations.
- Coordinate equipment repairs, including purchasing necessary parts and working with dealerships outside the company for repairs.
- Schedule rental equipment to ensure availability and timely service.
- Handle all business transactions, including making bank deposits and managing finances.
- Manage and monitor the condition and status of all rental equipment.
- Organize and schedule daily and weekly operations with the team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Willingness to travel anywhere in North Carolina.
- Conduct daily business reviews with the owner, providing updates on operations, sales, and equipment status.
- Purchase and manage parts inventory as needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain and organize detailed records of transactions, maintenance, and rentals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including drug screenings and background checks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of sales and management experience, preferably in equipment rental or a similar field.
- Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills are required.
- Must have a North Carolina CDL license.
- Trustworthy and reliable with a strong sense of integrity.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a small team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to handle money and make accurate bank deposits.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Information:
- You will be provided with a company credit card for business expenses.
- Annual raises will be based on performance.
- A 90-day probationary period applies to this position.
