Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Fleet Dispatcher based on-site in Chattanooga, TN. The Fleet Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day schedules of our company drivers, ensuring the timely and efficient dispatch of vehicles. Tasks include monitoring driver HOS, tracking vehicle locations, communicating with drivers and clients, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining records. Must be a freight hunter. We are primarily running on the spot market and need someone who understands cost per mile, pricing, capacity, and how to negotiate with anyone and everyone. I need a hunter! Freight brokers with experience in the cradle-to-grave model, looking to switch to the carrier side, are encouraged. Spot market experience is required.
Qualifications
- Strong Phone Etiquette and Communication skills
- Experience in Dispatching and Customer Service
- Ability to maintain Customer Satisfaction through effective service
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable with using dispatch software and other relevant technology
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional qualifications in logistics or transportation management is a plus
- Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a must.
