Water Mitigation Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mitigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry, particularly in water damage restoration, mold remediation, and fire restoration. This role involves working on-site to restore properties affected by various types of damage, ensuring that homes and businesses are returned to their pre-loss condition. The Restoration Technician will utilize both hand tools and power tools to perform their duties effectively.

Duties

• Assess damage and determine the appropriate restoration methods for each situation.
• Perform water damage restoration tasks, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification.
• Conduct mold remediation processes to ensure safe and effective removal of mold from affected areas.
• Execute fire restoration procedures, including smoke removal and structural repairs.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete restoration tasks.
• Clean carpets and other surfaces as part of the restoration process.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines during all restoration activities, including asbestos abatement when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used on each job site.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain the restoration process and provide updates on progress.
• Provide thorough documentation everyday for each job so we can be paid by the insurance carrier.

Requirements

• Previous experience in water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire restoration is preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the restoration industry.
• Knowledge of safety practices related to asbestos abatement is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations on job sites.
• Valid driver's license may be required for transportation to various job locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
