What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Advisor position at Reeder Trausch Marine?
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them
- Perform Boat inspections and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
- Provide estimates for repairs and communicate them to customers
- Schedule appointments and manage the service department's calendar
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Keep customers informed about the status of their Boat
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in automotive and/or marine service or repair industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical information to customers in a clear manner
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Cash handling experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
