REEDS Jewelers is excited to post this important position to join our IT department, and this role is available as a fully remote position.
The Application Specialist drives the daily support for production, maintenance, and enhancements of the corporate and (ERP) applications (Order Management System, Inventory and Warehouse Management, Merchandising and Planning, Point of Sale, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). In this capacity, you will actively participate in the planning and scoping of projects to recommend best practices, implement new features, and enhance existing processes to create a seamless and engaging employee experience.
This role will partner with vendors, IT and business associates to define functional and technical requirements for related projects. The Application Specialist plays a key role in defining and executing functional and integration test activities. This role must be able to work and adapt in a fluid and fast-paced environment and have a passion to learn new applications and technologies. A strong level of comfort working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of seniority and displaying a high degree of judgment and discretion in handling sensitive data. Supporting application end users by walking through business processes, answering questions, and troubleshooting issues. Responsible for working with vendors to plan upgrades and enhancements. Assists with updating training materials and providing training to end-users.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provides technical leadership to all segments of business application support
- Maintain rules-based work flows to support order fulfillment processing
- Update and maintain XML code used for application integration
- Manage and support user access to ERP systems
- Work with SMEs, PMO, technical teams, and business process owners as needed to obtain business requirements to generate business cases for recommended application efficiencies & improvements
- Coordinate with PMO on the implementation of new releases, fixes, and upgrades with technical teams and users
- Ensure all appropriate software applications remain secure and SOC-compliant
- Manage, diagnose, and provide resolution to support tickets with a level of detail and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Support the line of business by generating ad hoc reporting and providing data for analysis
- IT applications may require after hour or weekend support
- Ensure system documentation is accurate and current. Expected to do presentations on application roadmaps to the IT Leadership team
- Assist and facilitate user acceptance testing with the line of business as needed
- Execute unit testing activities to validate system interface integration
- Review technology vendors and system design architecture for adherence to REEDS application architecture standards
- Develop systems data flow diagrams
- Leads and manages Backoffice and Store software projects utilizing multiple software applications

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, MIS or related area
- Minimum 5 years work experience
- ERP and corporate system application production support experience
- Data integration experience a plus
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and requests simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communications are required
