What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Integration Specialist position at Reeds Spring Schools?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification: Missouri DESE certification for educational staff (or eligibility to obtain). CompTIA A , Network , or other relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of five years of classroom experience preferred.
- Proven experience with technology integration in K-12 education.
- Familiarity with district-level systems such as Canvas, Clever, Infinite Campus, IXL, and GoGuardian.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining educational hardware/software.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and set up technology in classrooms.
- Willingness to travel between district schools as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, students, and staff.
- Knowledge of current educational technologies, classroom management tools, and network security protocols.
- Familiarity with systems administration for VOIP and security services.
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Chrome, and iOS operating systems.
- Must pass a background check approved by the Board of Education.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary interface between classroom hardware/software and instructional technology.
- Provide direct support to educators and students for district-approved software and hardware.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain educational technology tools and systems.
- Support the administration of district technology services, including VOIP and security systems.
- Collaborate with the Director of Information and Technology, Building Administrators, and Instructional Coaches to enhance technology integration.
- Reeds Spring Schools has an enrollment of approximately 1800 students in grades PK-12 and employs approximately 350 staff members. Reeds Spring is located 30 minutes from Springfield on beautiful Table Rock Lake. The Reeds Spring School District serves the communities of Reeds Spring, Branson West, Kimberling City, Cape Fair, and Indian Point. In addition, the school district has a competitive salary schedule, offers additional benefits, and operates on a four-day school week.
