Lead Server / Event Lead / Assistant Production Coordinator

Reedville Catering is hiring for a Lead Server / Event Lead / Assistant Production Coordinator to expand their catering team. Previous catering and bartending experience is required as well as a good driving record to be able to drive our vans.

About the job:
We are seeking a skilled Lead Server/ Event Lead / Assistant Production Coordinator to join our team. A person who is passionate about catering, loves working with food, and is excited to work together with our catering team to provide outstanding hospitality to our clients and their guests. A person with professional and courteous composure in a fast-paced environment.

This is a position with at least 30 hrs/ week depending on events, offering $27-$30/hour DOE, plus possible tips from events worked.
For this position flexible availability any day of the week is essential. Depending on event(s) the shifts may be early mornings, daytime or late evenings. Weekend and holiday availability is required depending on events. The shifts may vary from 4-14 hours/ day.

Duties:
*Lead Server/Event Lead will work as the event lead for events, leading a team of 1 or more persons.
*Help with production coordination.
*Preparing and pre-loading for events .
*Loading and unloading vans with the event staff.

*Driving vans to the venues as needed.
*Participating and overseeing food and beverage setup at events. Participate with service during the events, and post-event clean-up as contracted. At some events table and chair setup, flip and strike will be included in the job.

*Some food preparation at the events.

*Catering equipment maintenance including the vans.

*Train and retrain catering staff.

*Assist with product ordering, scheduling, recruiting and hiring of service staff.

Requirements:
*Previous experience in a catering company as a server/ lead server at least 2 years with bartending experience.

*Good knowledge of food and beverage service.

*Age of 21 or over with at good 3-year DMV driving record to be able to drive our vans (per insurance policy). The DMV record will be required before hire.

*Self-motivated and with good organizational skills, and attention to details.

*Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
*Computer skills required - knowledge of Google drive and/or Microsoft office.
*Reliable transportation (own car is often needed to go to events and transport staff and/or catering equipment or food).
*Oregon Food Handler's Card and OLCC Service Permit upon hire.
*Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and stand/walk for a long period of time.
