Title: Line Cook, Chef de Partie
Compensation: $18-22/hour DOE Benefits for full-time employees
Location: Park City, Utah
Exciting opportunity for a growing restaurant group led by James Beard Award Winning Chef Galen Zamarra located in the heart of Park City, Utah, an internationally renowned ski destination. This line cook position will join the team in prep and plating of hot dishes from the line working stations including fryer, grill, saute and roast. There is extensive room for growth with future phases including a boutique hotel, a luxury residential development, the Marcella Club at the new Mayflower ski resort and a Tiger Woods designed golf course.
Position Overview:
Under the supervision of our Executive Chef, the Chef de Partie position is an entry level role in the management side of the kitchen, responsible for the preparation of tasks requiring a higher level of experience, such as butchering of fish and meats, stock and sauce work, overseeing the other cooks in production and service, and being the lead cooks during service while running the station cooking meats and fish. Candidates should have skill in cooking meats to temperature, grilling, sauteing, roasting, braising, poaching and other common cooking techniques, especially French cuisine and sous vide cooking. During service at Le Depot French Brasserie, the Chef de Partie will supervise commis cooks, and work under the supervision of Sous Chefs, and the Executive Chef.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a great team player as well as possessing the ability to complete their individual tasks in a timely manner. We value hardworking team members that show an innate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn. Ideal candidates have relevant restaurant experience, especially in high volume and fine dining. Experience and knowledge of French cuisine is a plus.
Work Experience: 5 years of restaurant experience is desired
Education: Degree in Culinary Arts is preferred
Required Skills:
- Must speak and read English and have the legal ability to work in the United States
- Must provide your own kitchen tools/ knives
- Must have Department of Health Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Most work tasks are performed indoors with some outdoor activities
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift 50lbs.
Salary : $18 - $22
