Description
Job Summary : The Accounting Clerk will assist in the financial operations of the dealership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Controller.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Help maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Support financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Assist in preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
- Enter financial data into accounting software accurately.
- Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
- Process all truck sales transactions and validate sales commissions.
- Ensure sales logs are complete and accurate, along with maintaining files per the retention schedule.
- Provide support to the finance team and collaborate with other departments as needed.
- Respond to inquiries from staff and vendors regarding financial matters.
- Serve as backup to the receptionist
- Other duties as assigned
