DIESEL TECHNICIAN (2nd Shift)

Description

Reefer Peterbilt is a second-generation family-owned full-service medium & heavy-duty truck dealership looking for a 2nd shift full-time Diesel Mechanic / Technician at our New Boston location. This individual must be hard-working, self-motivated, and organized.

Responsibilities / Description :

• Ability to perform troubleshooting / diagnostic testing and estimate repairs
• Clock (post) time to each job performed, story causes and corrections on all repair orders, stating if parts replaced were new, used, or rebuilt,
• Follow warranty procedures as set forth by management, i.e., pictures, measurements, tag parts, etc....
• Effectively perform maintenance inspections and determine when part replacement is necessary
• Proficiently repair all major power and drive train components
• Perform road tests to verify repairs were completed properly - dependent upon having a CDL
• Contribute to the top productivity and efficiency of the department by staying within estimated times
• Maintain a clean and safe environment that complies to OSHA and company standards, as well as within all DOT safety requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
