Security Supervisor Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Communication Skills:
- Communication skills (both oral and written) are essential for the position of Security Supervisor.
- Strategically uses two-way communication to generate enthusiasm and foster an atmosphere
- receptive to open exchange.
- Ability to work with and understand the needs of our clients and guards.
Critical-Thinking Skills:
- The Security Supervisor must be able to quickly observe a situation and make the appropriate response.
- Have a good working knowledge of management practices and principles so you can efficiently perform your job.
- Adjust priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events, and modify decisions and actions in response to changing information and circumstances.
Conflict Resolution Skills:
- Identify potential conflicts and find a solution to improve processes.
- Able to respond to scheduling call-offs that occur after hours, which may include: identifying other individuals to fill-in and/or standing post until such replacement arrives, assisting the scheduling team with scheduling for call-offs or other changes that occur in the field.
Leadership Skills:
- Able to lead their teams in the most effective way, by recognizing team member’s strengths and abilities.
- Able to delegate and manage their team's skillsets
- Able to look beyond the incident and find perspective on the situation
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience in the security industry or related field
- Flexibility in schedule and available work hours
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and or in writing (e.g. clients, suppliers, security offices)
- A valid driver's license with a clean record
- Ability to safely drive a company vehicle
- California State Guard License (Required)
- California B.S.I.S Approved Security Training (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-5 years security office experience, prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, and/or military highly preferred.
- Experience as a police officer or military police officer (preferred)
- Proficiency in iOS and working with iPad
