THE OPPORTUNITY

Reel Works is hiring a Temporary Recruitment Assistant to support the MediaMKRS Career Development and Career Exploration programs with program participant recruitment for NY programs.

Location: This position requires candidates to be based in the New York City Metro area, with the flexibility of a hybrid office environment. The physical office is located in Brooklyn, NY.

Reports To: Recruitment Coordinator

Compensation: Part-time 20-25 hours per week; $20-22/hour

Estimated Start Date: February 3, 2025

Estimated End Date: April 6, 2025

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of Senior Recruitment Coordinator, the Recruitment Assistant will support the mission and vision of Reel Works by driving talent objectives and recruiting processes for our various MediaMKRS Career Development job training programs. They will provide administrative support, including coordinating hiring activities, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate databases. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator and have an interest in recruiting new and diverse talent for our programming.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

Recruitment (100%)

  • Coordinate hiring activities, including scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate databases
  • Creating outreach materials including flyers and emails, maintaining the MediaMKRS website on relative program recruitment information and updates
  • Tracking candidates throughout recruitment process in our applicant tracking system or in Google Sheets
  • Communicating frequently with applicants, including but not limited to status in the application, scheduling interviews, missing information, etc.
  • Supporting development of training goals and materials with the program partners.
  • Collecting and reviewing reference information for the applicants.
  • Support interviewers and candidates by managing calendars and resolving issues promptly.
  • Perform clerical duties such as answering emails, drafting correspondence, and handling paperwork.
  • Assist with onboarding processes and handle administrative tasks such as drafting offer letters.

QUALIFICATIONS

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • 1-2 years of experience in administrative, recruitment or human resources position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills used in a recruitment, business admin or related capacity
  • Proficient in Google Apps [Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Hangouts and Mail] and experience with tools such as Zoom. Experience with ATS Systems like BambooHR is a plus but not required.
  • Experience and passion for inclusion and working effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Experience with large volume of file/data management
