Summary:
Assemble hose, cable, and other reels by reading and understanding shop packets and job instructions. Perform the major tasks of prepping, building, hosing, and testing using a variety of hand tools (including battery and pneumatic) and mechanical fastening machines. Package, label, and palletize the reels for shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all company and department safety requirements
- Reading and understanding shop packets and job instructions
- Continually lifting and manuevering up to 50 pounds
- Use of a variety of hand tools (including battery and pneumatic) and mechanical fastening machines
- Continual use of hands, fingers & wrists to pull and manipulate parts for assembly
- Ability to complete each phase of the assembly process
- Work cohesively with other team members to achieve departmental goals
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures, operating and maintenance instructions or manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to comprehend and apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form. Must have the ability to prioritize orders.
