The Electronic Controls Technicians provide support to Rees as PLC technicians that handle all factory electrical, electronic and equipment controls with a focus towards safety, quality, and production efficiency. ECT’s are expected to understand and troubleshoot unique equipment with non-standard controls. This position requires strong teamwork with both management and plant-floor personnel. Experience with OMRON a PLUS
Responsibilities:
· Design, install and/or troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical components such as motors, motion systems, and connection parts such as relays, termination blocks and sensors.
· Perform projects using PC & PLC programming, maintain documentation and communicate updated documentation to associates and staff.
· Perform projects using PLC and HMI programming and maintain documentation.
· Perform instrumentation implementation and calibration.
· Perform control system and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance assigned by the Supervisor.
· Keep Supervisor up to date on the status of all assigned projects, programming, work backlog, on-going problems, and safety issues.
· Perform electrical and electrical safety compliance checks.
· Work in teams to improve or alter production line operations.
· All duties will be performed in compliance with NEC, OSHA, and any other applicable code requirements.
Requirements:
· 2-year Electrical Technician Degree or equivalent work experience and references.
· Strong electrical design and troubleshooting skills.
· Knowledge of Wireless Technologies, Motion Controls, High-speed Cameras, Labelers (Ink and Laser), AC Power up to 240V, DC power primarily below 50V
· Always remain safety conscious and employ safe work practices.
· Maintain a production mindset.
· Work with minimal supervision individually or as part of a team
· Be eager to learn and to accept responsibility.
· Stand, walk, bend, and squat; Occasionally lift to 60 pounds.
· Furnish own hand tools.
