Jo b Summary :

The Title / Registration Clerk is responsible for processing all necessary documentation to ensure that vehicles are properly titled and registered. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and government authorities. The clerk will handle title transfers, registration renewals, and other vehicle-related paperwork in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

K e y Responsibilities :

  • Process Vehicle Titles and Registrations :

o Verify and process vehicle titles and registrations for customers.

o Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for vehicle title transfers and registrations.

o Submit necessary documents to government agencies for processing and approval.

  • Customer Interaction :
  • o Assist customers with questions about their title and registration documents.

    o Provide guidance on title transfer, renewal, and registration processes.

    o Process vehicle-related transactions, including payments and fees, in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Documentation Management :
  • o Review titles and registration applications for completeness and accuracy.

    o Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure proper filing.

    o Process lienholder documents, ensuring that all information is correct.

  • Coordinate with Government Agencies :
  • o Work with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or other local authorities to submit paperwork and resolve any issues related to vehicle registration or title.

    o Stay updated on any changes in local, state, or federal vehicle registration laws and regulations.

  • Data Entry and Record Keeping :
  • o Enter and maintain data regarding vehicle titles and registration details in the company's database.

    o Ensure accurate and up-to-date records oftransactions and titles.

  • Maintain Compliance :
  • o Ensure all transactions are in accordance with applicable state laws and guidelines.

    o Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ensure security of customer information.

    S kills and Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle registration and titling laws.
  • Familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and database management.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or with DMV-related processes is a plus.
