What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lumber Delivery Driver position at Reeves Hardware Co Inc?
The associate/driver will be responsible for taking deliveries of all building materials to the correct location. This role requires a valid drivers license, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to adapt to different tasks and environments. The ideal candidate will be proactive and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all materials are loaded correctly for each delivery.
- Navigating where loads should be delivered to.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in all areas, including maintaining a clean work vehicle.
- Restock racks and inventory when needed.
- Assist customer when on the lumber yard/warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management and purchasing controls.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth yard operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license.
- Must complete and have a valid Medical Card for driving DOT vehicle.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
