The Tool Department Head will be responsible for providing support across the tool department. This role also requires cross-training in multiple departments throughout the store. Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with inquiries and purchases in the tool department.
- Operate the POS/inventory system efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in all areas.
- Restock shelves and displays as needed.
- Provide support during special events and promotions.
- Assist with inventory management and purchasing controls.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 40 lbs.
