What Can You Expect
- Works with and through management to ensure compliance with safety procedures and provides safety training to the employees at the jobsite location to which he or she is assigned.
- Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations including OSHA and DOT as required
- Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices, rain-day safety training and coordinates any specialized safety training and/or certifications for the employees
- Performs unannounced/random safety audits and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
- Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management;
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree preferred
- Certification of CSP, ASP, GSP, or CHST desired
- 2 years experience in construction industry, project leadership and/or safety related experience; internship may qualify
- Travel will be required depending on jobsite locations.
- Must possess working knowledge of or demonstrate willingness to learn how to use the following software applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, Bluebeam, MS Project, Safety Auduit Software and Viewpoint Field Work Center
