CNC Machinist – Winona, MN

Compensation and Schedule :

Work Hours : Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2 : 30 PM
Compensation : $20-$23 per hour
Expected Weekly Hours : 40 hours
Work Flexibility : Fixed shift schedule with potential for overtime

Role Overview : The CNC Machinist will play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the production of high-quality products used worldwide. The successful candidate will set up and operate conventional special-purpose CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

Key Responsibilities :

Performing quality inspections on products.

Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors or entering commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

Operating machines to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine controls as required.

Verifying conformance of finished workpieces using measuring and inspection tools.

Setting up and operating machines to verify the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

Conferring with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.

Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills.

Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Prior machining experience and a 2-year tool and die or machining degree.
