What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician position at Refine New England?
If you are a self-motivated individual with cannabis laboratory experience and a desire to learn and grow with a company, we are looking for you. This position will be working five 8 hour shifts from 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
We are looking for a results driven lab technician. The successful candidate will be able to work in a highly-regulated environment, complete tasks start to finish, work as a member of a team, and will be reliable for all shifts/work load.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to...
- Meet daily and weekly volume goals prepping material for extraction.
- Ensure all laboratory operations are conducted in compliance with industry standards, OCP regulations, and safety protocols. Follow all safety guidelines related to handling hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Perform routine testing of cannabis products, including potency, terpene profiles, microbial, pesticide, and residual solvent analysis, using established laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure they meet regulatory standards and company specifications.
- Complete workload within established timeframes
- Ability to interact appropriately with colleagues and work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., grow and packaging teams) to provide data and insights that contribute to product development, quality improvement, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years old.
- Maine resident with current valid Maine ID.
- Must be able to pass the background check.
- General knowledge of cannabis.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and work with lab equipment and materials.
- Reliable transportation.
- The ability to perform tasks that involve carrying, lifting, reaching, prolonged standing, walking and kneeling.
