We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Mechanical Rental Supervisor.
The Mechanical Rental Supervisor is directly responsible for the readiness, packaging, on time shipment, and damage/loss reporting of all RTI USA Mechanical Rental Equipment assigned to the Refined Shopworks Houston Distribution Center (HDC) for use at RTI Client Sites.
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities
· Supervise the completion of required “picklists” and third-party equipment rental paperwork.
· Review all Mechanical Rental Shipment Requests and confirm changes if required.
· Identify and supervise the packing of all requested parts for various projects and stage for shipping.
· Supervise and review all required shipment paperwork and work with the RTI Logistics Team to ensure timely shipment/delivery of Mechanical Rental Equipment to client sites.
· Ensure the safe loading and unloading of trucks at the HDC.
· Prepare and update Logistics Tracking/Shipping Tables and submit required reports.
· Arrange shipments and returns with off-site vendor cleaning and testing facilities to clean and service RTI MR Equipment.
· Reconcile returns against original shipping documents and notify appropriate RTI Accounting and Mechanical Group personnel of shortages and damaged equipment.
· Work with Refined Shopworks Maintenance team to ensure returned equipment is turned over to the HDC Maintenance Work Centers as appropriate for further action.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Conduct semi-annual performance reviews on direct reporting employees.
· Prioritize Shop Technician workload for project fulfillment.
· Review and approve Shop Technician timesheet, vacation requests, expense reports, etc.
· Lead, train, and develop reporting Shop Technicians.
Minimum Qualifications
· Ability to organize shipment requirements and identify needs from multiple sources to ensure timely delivery of RTI equipment.
· Familiar and comfortable working with a computer. Specifically, MS Outlook and Excel.
· Ability to operate a forklift.
· Ability to use hand tools.
· Documented mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical education.
· Valid Drivers License
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
· Documented mechanical aptitude or formal mechanical education.
· Forklift Operator
· Experience reading blueprints, schematics or P&ID drawings
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
· Work is executed primarily in a shop office/warehouse type environment.
· At industrial sites and in the shop environment one may be required to carry equipment (up to 40 pounds), climb stairs and ladders, work in inclement weather and be on one’s feet for a 12 hour shift.
Travel Requirements
· Limited Travel – less than 10%
