Reuters Video News is seeking an experienced and innovative news Cameraperson for a TEMPORARY assignment based in San Francisco. We anticipate the successful candidate being based within commutable distance to San Francisco, CA.

About the Role

As Cameraperson (Level 1 Journalist - Temp), you will :

• Cover varied news events in the U.S., including breaking news and feature stories with travel to the scene of events.
• Film news and feature stories using broadcast-quality video camera, DSLR, GoPro, and other camera equipment.
• Work autonomously when filming, whilst collaborating with colleagues within Reuters Text to cover stories such as climate change, technology, entertainment and sports.
• Produce and edit content at speed and in some challenging weather conditions.
• Work some weekend shifts and at times, longer hours.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following : New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and / or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation hourly range for the role in any of those locations is $39 - $70 / hr.
