Cleaner/Janitor

Job Title: Janitor

This is a part time contract (1099) position that starts on April 6th and the hours are Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday for 3 hours each evening starting anytime after 5pm.

Overview:
As a Janitor, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and sanitized environment for all occupants, contributing to a positive atmosphere for both staff and visitors.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and designated spaces
- Properly dispose of trash and recyclables
- Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and coordinate with the supervisor for replenishment
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and guidelines at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly

Experience:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is advantageous
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in janitorial duties
- Excellent time management skills
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift

Skills:
- Familiarity with safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance
- Flexibility to adapt to changing cleaning schedules or duties
