Workforce Solutions Manager

ReFlex: Recruiting Flexibility
Cincinnati, OH Full Time
POSTED ON 4/17/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/14/2025

Position Summary:

This role plays a key part in strengthening the construction industry’s workforce across the Greater Cincinnati region. By supporting companies that build the spaces where we live, work, and connect — and the infrastructure that ties it all together — this position helps close critical skills and talent gaps facing the industry today.

This is an opportunity to make a real impact — empowering youth and adults to build meaningful careers in construction, while helping businesses develop the skilled talent they need to succeed.

The Workforce Solutions Manager will lead education and training efforts designed to upskill current employees, develop future leaders, and create pathways for the next generation of construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Program & Operations Management

  • Coordinate all administrative functions of education and training programs — from managing communications with trainers, facilitators, and participants to ordering materials, coordinating catering, managing calendars, and ensuring follow-up.
  • Facilitate seamless and memorable training experiences by preparing classrooms and training spaces, tracking participation, and overseeing completion protocols (certifications, online system updates, and record-keeping).

Engagement & Outreach

  • Engage with K-12 students through construction career exploration programs, as well as adults seeking to upskill or transition into the construction industry.
  • Serve as a point of contact for schools, employers, and training partners to promote program offerings and recruit participants.
  • Represent the organization as an ambassador at community events and industry gatherings.

Financial Management & Compliance

  • Assist in securing funding through grants and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Support budget management and work to ensure that education and training programs meet or exceed revenue goals.

Certification & Assessment Administration

  • Administer and proctor certification exams and assessments (e.g., NCCER, WorkKeys). Prior experience is not required — training will be provided.

Competencies:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to excellence
  • Curious and proactive problem-solver
  • Collaborative and customer-centric approach
  • Strong attention to operational detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized and task-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing learning & development programs, workforce training, or similar initiatives
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Experience working within education, workforce development, or the built environment industries

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years in program coordination, administrative support, community engagement, or a related role
  • 2 years of project management experience
  • Experience working with students (K-12 and beyond) and adults from diverse backgrounds
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while balancing strategic vision with attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Reasonable accommodations will be provided to individuals with disabilities to support successful performance of essential job functions

Equal Opportunity Employer:

We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace that values diversity. All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. We offer a professional and rewarding environment, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package. Sponsorship for work visas is not available for this position.
