Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Consumer Goods Sourcing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing through existing and new clients, managing supply to our retailers, and developing new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to multitask throughout the day. They will also possess strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve sales targets and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers and customers, building long-term relationships
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients
- Process deal flow from start to finish, including logistics
- Achieve sales targets and goals
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting
- Collaborate with the buying team to ensure we have the right products to meet our clients' needs
- Attend trade shows to showcase our products and meet with current and prospective clients
- Keep accurate records of sales activities
Requirements:
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the off-price industry or with brick and mortar retailers
- A proven track record of success in a commission-based selling environment
- A great sense of style and a keen eye for consumer trends
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Google Docs
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively
- Willingsness to travel occasionally for trade shows (up to 10% of the time)
