Job Overview:
The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to internal teams and assist with IT-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform system backups and security updates as needed
- Assist with onboarding new employees through IT setup
- Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance overall performance and user experience
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with hardware setup and configurations, as well as peripheral devices
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware and software problems
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus
