Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Fitness Coach to lead engaging and effective group classes for clients of all fitness levels. Our group class utilizes resistance-based machines for a variety of exercises with a focus on core. The ideal candidate will be energetic, knowledgeable, and able to create a motivating atmosphere that encourages clients to push themselves. The successful candidate will help clients maintain proper form and technique while offering appropriate modifications when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engaging group fitness classes, incorporating a megaformer, resistance-based machine, and a variety of exercises to challenge and inspire participants.
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to clients to help them improve their form, technique, and ensure they are safely executing each movement.
- Develop and modify class sequences to accommodate clients with varying levels of experience and ability.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in Pilates and fitness, and incorporate new techniques and methodologies into classes.
- Maintain a clean and organized studio space, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized.
- Check in guests.
Qualifications:
- Instructors are required to have an XFormer certification. This certification can be obtained through the certification session offered by our studio or from another approved studio. Please note, certifications must be obtained on your own time and at your own expense.
- Previous experience teaching modern pilates or other fitness classes, preferably in a group setting.
- Ability to modify exercises to accommodate individual needs and limitations.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and biomechanics, with the ability to effectively cue and correct clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals.
- CPR and first aid certification preferred.
