What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prosthetic Clinical Liaison position at Reform Prosthetics?
Position Summary:
This will be a full-time position - 40 hours
Reports To: Director of Prosthetics

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Participate in the assessment of patients with impairments or limb loss
- Assist in implementation of established prosthetic treatment plan which includes, acquisition, modification, preparatory care, material selection, fabrication, structural evaluation, diagnostic fitting, assessment, functional training, and patient education and instruction
- Assist with execution of a follow-up care plan as directed by the CP to ensure successful prosthetic outcomes
- Follow-up plan may include documentation of functional changes, formulation of modifications, reassessment of patient expectations and treatment objectives, development of long-term treatment plan
Tasks may include any of the following:
- Review patient’s prescription/referral
- Review patient history and assessment findings
- Consult with CP about patient’s condition in order to understand the treatment plan
- Document assessment findings in appropriate system
- Provide patient with preparatory care for prosthetic treatment
- Select appropriate materials/techniques in order to obtain patient model/image
- Perform limb shape capture procedure by hand or using scanning system (measure, take impression, delineate, scan, digitize)
- Fabricate/assemble/align prosthesis in order to prepare for initial or diagnostic fitting
- Assess alignment of prosthesis
- Complete fabrication process after achieving optimal fit and function of prosthesis (e.g., convert diagnostic device to definitive prosthesis)
- Educate patient about use and maintenance of the prosthesis
- Obtain feedback from patient to evaluate outcomes (wear schedule/tolerance, comfort, ability to don and doff, proper usage and function)
Practice Management:
- Comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations (e.g, CMS, HIPAA, FDA, ADA, OSHA, state licensure)
- Adhere to professional and ethical guidelines
- Comply with established documentation requirements related to patient billing and claims management
- Promote a safe and professional environment for patient care
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum requirement is a high school diploma; a college degree or some college-level course completion is an advantage.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Effective communication with patient/caregiver
- Effective communication with other staff
- Demonstration of competence interpreting physical findings
- Proper utilization technique with mechanical and electronic measuring devices
- Proper utilization technique with prosthetic materials and components
- Demonstration of competence in evaluating the fit and function of prosthesis
Required Knowledge:
- Basic fundamental knowledge of prosthetics treatment options
- Knowledge of techniques in obtaining patient model/image
- Knowledge of appropriate materials used for prosthesis
- Knowledge of prosthetic fabrication
- Knowledge of assessment of the fit and function of a prosthesis

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
