Job Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainee (ADCT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide substance abuse counseling services to individuals in need, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Implement evidence-based practices in addiction treatment
- Offer crisis intervention and support for clients in distress
Experience:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
- Experience working in a hospital or mental health setting
- Proficiency in mental health counseling techniques
- Familiarity with patient care protocols and procedures
- Understanding of ICD-9 coding for diagnostic purposes
- Ability to conduct crisis intervention effectively
- Competence in cognitive behavioral therapy approaches
- Experience facilitating group therapy sessions
- Background in social work or related field
- Proficiency in psychotherapy methods
