Purpose of Position: To operate the filler/capper, labeler, Axiom, palletizer, Depalletizer and other production equipment as assigned, in a safe and efficient manner to produce a quality product in a timely and efficient manner, and to perform other duties as directed by Production Management.
Specific Function:
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Sets up case code equipment, label machines, etc.
- Performs the duties of the Filler/Capper Operator, Labeler Operator, Axiom Operator, Palletizer Operator, Depalletizer and other duties as determined by Department Management
- Relieves Operators for scheduled breaks, lunches, sick time, and vacations, as required.
- Handles cartons and operates forklifts (must obtain/hold license) as needed.
- Assists the Production Team and Department Supervision as necessary.
- Completes paperwork as required.
- Assists Maintenance Department personnel on the repair or set-up of machine to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
- Take an active role in start-ups and changeovers to have assigned machine ready to operate when product is available, including CIP’s when necessary.
